Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ahmet Efe brings to CPA Turk more than two decades of strategic experience spanning
internal auditing, risk management, IT governance, and the oversight of
donor-funded projects. As a Partner overseeing the Risk and Assurance
Management practice, he plays a pivotal role in designing integrated risk
frameworks, steering national and international tender processes, and advising
public institutions and non-profit organizations on governance, compliance, and
operational resilience.
Before joining CPA Turk, Dr. Efe served as Senior
Regional Risk Management Officer for Europe and Central Asia and earlier as
a Senior Field Auditor at the International Federation of Red Cross and
Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), where he led risk management and assurance
initiatives across Europe and Türkiye. Prior to his humanitarian leadership
roles, he dedicated 23 years to government audit and assurance services.
Throughout his career, he has managed diverse risk portfolios—including
fiduciary, reputational, safeguarding, and cybersecurity risks—and has
spearheaded capacity building programs to strengthen institutional readiness in
complex environments.
Dr. Efe holds a BA in Economics, an MSc in
Macroeconomics, a Ph.D. in Public Administration, and an Associate
Professorship in Management Information Systems, blending academic depth
with extensive field experience. His teaching and consultancy engagements
encompass leading Turkish universities and international development projects,
with a focus on IT auditing, cybersecurity, and project risk governance.
He is a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA),
Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC), and a Project
Management Professional (PMP). Recognized with the ISACA Global
Achievement Award in 2018 for his contributions to professional literature,
he continues to advance the discipline through over 200 scholarly publications
exploring the intersection of technology, governance, and risk management.
